RIDE RULES AND GUIDELINES (subject to change)

        All horses must be saddled, mounted, and ready to ride by the assigned time for their group.

o   Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.

o   Group 1 – 8:30 a.m.

o   Group 2 – 9:00 a.m.

o   Group 3 – 9:30 a.m. Riders renting horses from Graham Brothers are assigned to this group.

o   3:30 p.m.: All riders must be off the trail to be eligible for ride prizes. 

o   4:00 p.m.: No additional playing cards may be purchased after 4 p.m. 

o   4:30 p.m.: Final hand must be submitted at the last station.

o   5:00 p.m.: Dinner begins

o   6:00 p.m.: Winners announced for the best playing cards.

o   7:00 p.m.: Dinner ends

o   8:00 p.m.: Music begins

·         All riders must stay in their assigned group and ride behind the trail boss at all times.

·         Instructions from Trail Boss and/or their assistants must be followed or riders may be removed from the event.

·         Riders must stay on designated trails.

·         Horses may be subject to veterinary examinations as this is a long ride (~10 miles).  Horse and rider are advised to be in good physical condition.  Trucks and trailers will be available to transport rider/horse back to the ranch in case of injury, illness, or condition that prevents horse or rider from completing the ride.

·         All riders must complete the safety orientation before riding.

·         No double riding will be permitted.

·         Each horse must have a saddle

·         No stallions allowed. No mares in foal allowed.

·         We enforce Red Tag Rule on horses that kick.

·         All riders under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

·         ALL riders under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet. Helmets are encouraged for all riders.

·        ONLY snacks will be provided. If you desire lunch, you must bring your own.

·         Beverage trucks will be available at each water stop. Be sure to purchase your beverage tickets ($1 each ticket) at the table near check-in.  Tickets can also be used at the evening BBQ. Small bills are appreciated!

·         Sorry, no cash purchases will be accepted for beverages purchased at the water stops.

·         A continental breakfast is provided by PRP Seats.

·         Each rider is responsible for packing out his/her own trash.

·         WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: The contest winners will be announced at the barbecue. Rider does not need to be present to win.  The prizes for any winners will only be given to the original rider.  Identification is required to claim a prize.

·         No smoking on trails except for designated areas due to high fire danger.

·         No outside alcohol allowed on the Domenigoni Ranch or Metropolitan Water District properties. 

·         No firearms allowed on the Domenigoni Ranch or Metropolitan Water District properties. 

·         No dogs allowed.

·         No bicycles, motorcycles, quads or other riding equipment permitted on the trails.

·         Be respectful of the needs of other when utilizing the bathroom facilities.  Separate Men’s and Women’s outhouses will be available.

Domenigoni Ranch and Charity Ride Committee along with Diabetes Camping and Educational Services reserves with right to determine if you may or may not ride, including late arrivals.  Refunds will not be provided.
